Fire in the Blood Book Review
Set in a small village in France before WW II, Irène Némirovsky wrote Fire in the Blood in 1941.
I have not much to say about this story other than it is one marvelously written and one of the shortest novels I have read. The translation into English was carried out by Sandra Smith. I recommend this novel as a read to aspiring authors, it also encourages me to finish writing my own novel by the fact of knowing this excellent writer shows a short novel can be accomplished.
